Tilberding av smalahovemiddag:

                                                                                      * Del smalahove og tunga i to.

                                                                                      * Legg dei så i vatn i 3 timar.

                                                                                      * Deretter børstar du dei lett.

                                                                                      * Legg dei så i ein panne med ( nytt ) vatn, pass på at

                                                                                        vatnet er over alle smalahovene under koking.

                                                                                      * Koketida er 3 timar.

                                                                                      * Kjøtet skal løysa godt frå beinet når smalahovene er ferdig kokte.

                                                                                      * Middagen må alltid serverast varmt.

                                                                                      * Skinnet på hove skal etast.

                                                                                      * Når du har ete kjaken, tar du vekk kjevebeinet. Då finn du mykje

                                                                                         godt kjøtt og der er og tunga.

                                                                                      * ALT, utanom det svarte i auga (pupillen) og brusken i øyra, kan

                                                                                        etast på eitt smalahove.
